Message	I recall driving my stepfather's Passat to Michigan from NoVA. Stuck in traffic - must've been a holiday. Inching along, but if I was able to go more than 2 feet, the damned thing wanted to upshift into 2nd, and sometimes even 3rd. Drove me nuts having no power even to go three feet! I thought being in auto mode would be preferable for sitting in traffic, but it didn't take me long to pop it over into "sport shift" mode. Still not as responsive as full manual, but MUCH better.
